Junior Ecommerce Web Developer Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Junior Ecommerce Web Developer. This person, under guidance of the Head of Ecommerce Development, will be responsible for collaborating with other developers and engineers to design, build and maintain Shopify and BigCommerce ecommerce websites.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with ecommerce team which includes other developers, engineers, digital strategists & account managers to design, build and maintain Shopify and BigCommerce websites.
• Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning websites using HTML/CSS/JS/Liquid.
• Work with Digital Strategists to facilitate website optimization initiatives, such as improving conversion rates, A/B testing and more.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• A solid understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and code solutions.
• Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills

Requirements

The following traits and skills are required for this Junior Ecommerce Web Developer role.

• 1-3 years of experience in front end web development
• Debugging and code maintenance skills
• Experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript / React, GitHub required
• Familiarity with Liquid scripting a plus
• Experience with UX/UI toolkits such as Photoshop or Figma
• eCommerce development experience (Shopify, BigCommerce, Magento, Volusion, etc.)
• Portfolio of quality, hand-coded responsive web projects
• Ability to multitask between multiple projects in a single day
