Assign a venue and inventory locations

Summary: Set the venue where an event takes place and the inventory locations you'll sell from, so sales and stock are attributed correctly.

An event has two kinds of place:

  • Venue — where the event happens. It also sets the time zone used to display the event's Start and End times.
  • Inventory locations — where the stock you're selling comes from. You can attach more than one.

Only locations you've set up for each role appear in the form: the Venue list shows your venue locations, and the Inventory locations picker shows your inventory locations.

Before you begin

  • Set up your venues and inventory locations first. See the Locations section.

Steps

  1. Open the event in the Event calendar (or start a new one).
  2. From the Venue list, choose where the event takes place.
  3. Choose Select locations under Inventory locations and pick one or more inventory locations to sell from.
    • If only one inventory location exists, it's selected automatically and the picker is disabled.
  4. Choose Save.
