Create & edit an event

Summary: Add a new event or update an existing one from the Event calendar, setting its date, venue, locations, and other details in a single form.

Before you begin

  • Add the venues and inventory locations you'll need first, so they appear in the event form. See Assign a venue and inventory locations.
  • Event groups are optional. If you use them, create the group ahead of time so it shows up in the Event group list.

Steps

Create an event

  1. Open the Event calendar.
  2. Click the day you want the event on. The list below the calendar shows that day's events.
  3. Choose New. The event form opens.
  4. Pick a Venue and, optionally, an Event group.
  5. Set the Date — a Start and End, each with a time. Times are shown in the venue's time zone. If you change Start to be after End, End is moved to match.
  6. Add one or more Inventory locations (the Select locations button). If only one inventory location exists, it's selected automatically.
  7. Optionally enter an Estimated attendance.
  8. Optionally expand Credit card fees (%) and Venue splits (%) to set percentages for this event.
  9. Choose Save.

Edit an event

  1. In the Event calendar, click the event you want to change (either its pill in the grid or its card in the day list).
  2. Update any field. Save stays disabled until you've made a change.
  3. Choose Save. To remove the event instead, choose Delete.
