Record a transfer

Summary: Pick an event on the Inventory Transfers page, open a product's transfer modal, and record the stock brought In, topped up (Add), and taken back Out.

Before you begin

  • The event needs a venue and at least one inventory location set on the Event Calendar. If either is missing, the page shows a banner ( This event has no venue or This event has no inventory location ) with a Go to events button to fix the event first.
  • Only active products stocked at the selected inventory location appear in the table.

Steps

  1. Open Inventory Transfers in the app navigation, or choose Transfer inventory from an event card's actions menu on the Event Calendar to arrive with the event pre-selected.
  2. Pick the event in the Event selector (events are listed newest first, labelled with their group, date, and venue).
  3. Confirm the Inventory location. If the event has one inventory location it's selected automatically; otherwise choose which location the stock moves from. Stock moves between this location and the event's venue.
  4. In the products table, find the product and click Transfer to open its transfer modal.
  5. Enter quantities per variant — each row shows the units Available at the inventory location:
    • In — stock you're bringing in to start (records the initial count).
    • Add — additional stock added after the In count (enabled once an In exists).
    • Out — unsold stock returned at the end (enabled once an In exists).
  6. Click Save. A Transfer saved toast confirms. Use Clear to revert unsaved edits, or Cancel to close without saving.
  7. To correct a column that's locked by the In → Add → Out sequence, turn on Unlock columns and edit any field.

Notes

  • If a banner reads A transfer for this product is still being applied, wait for it to finish before saving more changes.
  • Transfers recorded here are the same records as the POS tile's — they appear in the INVENTORY TRANSFERS section when you settle the event.
