Inventory Transfers
Summary: The Inventory Transfers page in your Shopify admin records stock moved In, topped up (Add), and taken back Out for an event — the same transfers your team can record on the POS device, from the back office.
The Inventory Transfers page lets you record an event's stock movements without being at the register. Pick an event, choose which of its inventory locations the stock moves from, and enter In / Add / Out quantities per variant. Transfers move stock between that inventory location and the event's venue location, and they feed the INVENTORY TRANSFERS section of the event's settlement — exactly like transfers recorded with the Inventory transfers tile on the POS. Both surfaces write the same transfer records, so you can start on one and correct on the other.
You can reach the page two ways:
- Inventory Transfers in the app's navigation (also available as a dashboard tile).
- Transfer inventory in an event card's actions menu on the Event Calendar, which opens the page with that event pre-selected.
Every event is listed in the page's event picker — including events that aren't set up for transfers yet. If the selected event is missing a venue or an inventory location, a banner explains what's missing and a Go to events button takes you to the calendar to fix the event's setup.
